Film music must be at service of what the director wants to express. A Soundtrack should not desire to be the star in a movie. A good Soundtrack works well when it can be integrated in the production and can make even more touching what the rest of the staff (actors, cinematographer, screenwriter or the director himself) have achieved. It is the composer's responsability to complete the project and, sometimes, he has to bring emotions to the audience that cannot be watched on the screen.
